Learn Nothing Day ART!

Holly Dodd did the photo-artistry additions to lettering by Sandra. Notes on the creation are here

By the end of the day you will be able to upload and use it as you wish, in several different sizes, and as a link to the main page which is still being worked on. Look here for an explanation of what "Learn Nothing Day" is meant to be and to accomplish.

You can order t-shirts or other things (CafePress site), or use the art to make your own (the art is here).

There will be contests.

  1. I love this! The idea and the art. I will put it on my blog and will start scheming about how to put a stop to all that learning that keeps happening, at all hours and in every season and especially when we aren't looking.

  2. Thanks Sandra! I needed someone to tell me to take a break, now if I can convince my kids to stop for a day! I posted this on my blog and will spread the word to all my unschooler friends! Great art work Holly!

  3. I love the art work- it's amazing! I woudl like to learn how to do that, and it might become my next project- though I daresay I could ask my unschooled 9 yo and he'll know a whole lot more about the "how to" than I imagine. The irony of a "Learn Nothing Day" is simply delicious :0)

  4. I love the concept as I am still fielding the "Are you taking a break" comment quite a bit lately.

The artwork is great, and I put a button at my site. Thanks!!

  8. That's awesome. She's really great with the photoshop. I added it to my sidebar. I'd have to tie my kids down to prevent them from learning anything, though ; ) Although, they'd probably learn how to untie a knot, or something....anyway.

  9. When I told the kids about Learn Nothing Day, Tori said cool and Kalel says "Does that mean I wont get to play WOW for a whole day?"

  10. Chloe is going to give it a try. I asked how. She said she would spend the day reading books she's read before. I pointed out that she might notice different things in the books. "Then I'll just sit around thinking all day. (pause) Of course, I'll probably figure something out while I'm thinking."

So, we don't know how much success we'll have, but we're game! :-)

Except if we're successful, doesn't that mean we'll have learned we can spend a day without learning...?

    The Dodd Paradox.

  11. I have to say, I'm disappointed that I've read of some people boycotting this and a few posts about "what am I supposed to do on learn nothing day?"

It's a JOKE peeps! Have fun, be creative...help Sandra proove that you can't learn nothing.

I think it should be a pre-requisite to have a big sense of humor if you're going to unschool. sheesh.

As for us, we're trying to think of some very fun way to celebrate.

Maybe I should slow down when I get excited. lol

  13. Ren, I liked it. PROOOOVE it.
    It had feeling and style.

Perhaps it's the competitive nature of humans, or maybe it's school conditioning, but I think some people seem worried that they will fail at learning nothing, so they want us to call off the test.
