1. The world is my busy, happy home.
2. "Have fun!" was the last thing I said.
3. I wonder why cynicism appeals to some people.
4. Infinity clears its throat at the end of all things. (No one's cosmology has an end of all things, does it? It's just the beginning of the next thing.)
5. There's something to be said for breathing.
6. Contented and hopeful is where I want to be.
7. And as for the weekend,

"(No one's cosmology has an end of all things, does it? It's just the beginning of the next thing.)"
ReplyDeleteI have an atheist friend whose favorite description of what happens after we die is "we're worm food", which she's using as a colorful way of saying that's the end of us. But I suppose it's a beginning for the worm, isn't it? I'd never thought about that quote that way before!
I think your cynicism appeals to people because you're HONEST...so many people try to hide their true self, their real thoughts.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! :)
I have cynicism!? (Damn it, I knew I did. That sucks...)
ReplyDeleteI probably do. But I like to think my cup's filling up quickly and never will be empty. :-)
It seems some people cultivate cynicism and are glad to see their cynicism is bigger and darker than the neighbors'. Holly's working at a skateboarder shop and her sparkly joy is not always appreciated by her co-workers and customers.
"Have fun!" is very profound. One hears it a lot in unschooler homes.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's not at all cynical. :-)
