This will only make sense in the context of the video. First they moved to California, but now they're in Pennsylvania. The other voice is Beth Fuller, the other presenter, who was sitting next to me, on a platform built around a tree, near the polar bear exhibit, at the zoo in Albuquerque. Marty had taken all the little kids who wanted to go over to the playground so the parents could be in on the presentations and discussion.
Links that tie in with this are about teens and unexpected benefits and unschooled children's responses to spanking.

Unschooled Kids on Spanking
That's all so true! Thanks for posting the video. I see so much logic in my kids too and their ability to defend their ideas and thoughts. When we give kids a choice to think for themselves it changes everything! They are confident and kind to their friends, too. I love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the videos! We have a 9 month old son, and we are trying to learn as much as possible about unschooling while he's young. (Although, I realize he has already begun the learning process, and will for the rest of his life, but you know what I mean.) Keep posting more! Thanks.

Hello Sandra Dodd. What an awesome video! Thanks for posting this! I am also trying to learn as much as possible for my son who has Down Syndrome. He is 2 years of age. I have gotten so much feedback about how it is impossible to home school a child with a disability. I would love some advice as well as any information and resources out there for my son. I have a STRONG desire to home school my son. (I'm afraid of him being pushed to the side in the public school system, and not acknowledging his special gifts.
