They've been gathering goods to trade for food and drink at the party (Bo has set Sadie's kitchen up as a fortified shop, from which food and drinks will be distributed in exchange for such things as might be useful after civilization falls). People will be gambling and trading their goods, too. It really sounds fun. I hope there will be lots of photos.

Dressing for the apocalypse
Not the Biblical apocalypse; not the zombie apocalypse. Bo's birthday apocalypse, over at Sadie's house. Holly and Marty have been preparing for two weeks.

What a fun idea for a party!! Very creative.
Yes pics pics please! This is an awesome idea for a party!
Such a cool idea!!
LOVE this party idea! Please do update and give us more of the dish on this one.....
It's still pretty early. Marty and Ashlee are still asleep; they got a ride home and left their cars there. Holly stayed over, but she called home about 9:00 and said they're watching To Wong Foo over there, and she'll be back in a while.
The "plant cam" which was taken to get photos needed more light and more frequent snaps, but still there's a glimpse of it here with a few recognizeable faces and a teensy bit of costume detail. It was inside the store/kitchen, for the first part.

I should say, too, it was the idea of Bo King, who did the tree logo for my unschooling site, and the elevator/randomizer art. He did the kid-style art for the violence page, too.

It's the kind of party an artist+gamer can come up with!
