Rosencrantz: Do you think death could possibly be a boat?Guildenstern: No, no, no...death is... not.Rosencrantz: I've frequently not been on boats.Guildenstern: No, no, no... what you've been is not on boats. (Shakespeare wrote the names, but Tom Stoppard wrote the dialog.) |
It is impossible for an Anglophile to be in London and learn nothing. Luckily, I didn't learn that today! I've known it since I first came to England in the late 70's and learned from everything I touched, saw, smelled, heard, tasted and thought.
I don't expect today to be any exception. I just might post several times today, or I might not. Those of you who read it after your Learn Nothing Day is done should be safe.
This birthday means I'm 56 years old. Not a birthday of numerical or social or mythological import. Just a birthday. IN ENGLAND!!!

Learn Nothing Day is officially underway here. One is at an art class, so the day is ruined for him, but the others are still in bed. I hope they're not READING or something. :)
Happy Happy Birthday to YOU!
What a lovely way to spend a birthday!!! I've never been to England but would love to go someday.
My kids already learned some stuff today, darn it!!! Guess we'll spend the rest of the day in the pool.*G*
Molly, a little slow on the "wonder if she has a blog?" uptake
Happy Birthday Sandra!
Richard is still sleeping, so I suppose it is possible that he isn't learning yet. Probably not though, I am sure he is making new connections.
The swamp cooler is broken, so we will probably learn new ways to stay cool today!
Enjoy!
Happy Birthday in England. Being of Irish Catholic descent, I'm an Anglophobe but I hope you are enjoying yourself.
We zombiephiles like the R&G variant: R&G Are Undead.
Happy happy birthday. I hope 56 is great.
I am trying not to learn anything today so I think I will just have to go back to sleep. Ooh, but then I might have an insightful dream!

Happy Birthday Sandra. Hope you are having a wonderful day!
Looking forward to seeing you at the Conference in London tomorrow!

Happy happy birthday! And thanks for sharing Rosencratz and Guildenstern here. I hadn't thought about them in way too long. O.K. Better stop all this thinking - now. But not thinking means learning about being...Enjoy your day.
Third time this week that ol' R & G have turned up in my life! Oddly I get the play confused with "My Dinner with Andre." It is all the fault of Wallace Shawn--oh now I am on to Fezzig etc. Crap, I just keep learning! Happy Birthday, have some praw cocktail crisps for me!
